Where the facts on sweeby.org come from, what we will not claim about a playpen or a changing table, and how to report a mistake.

The people who run the Sweeby catalog write every page on sweeby.org. Here is how a fact gets onto a page.

Facts about the products

Footprints, wall heights, the kind of gate or door, the number of height settings and the colors come from our own product data. When two descriptions of one piece disagree, we print the more careful figure or leave it out.

The photographs and the home page film are ours. Pictures with slogans, badges or comparison charts printed over them stay off the site, so each one shows the playpen or the table itself.

What we do not claim

Our playpens are for supervised play. We do not present them as a place to sleep, and we do not call any product a substitute for an adult in the room. Safety standards are described in the words of the agencies that write them, with a link, and we do not add certificates or test results of our own to the page.

Guides and sources

When a page touches on a baby's safety, the rule or advice comes from a federal agency or a pediatric body, with a link to the page we read and the date we read it.

Corrections

If a size, a height, a color or a sentence here is wrong, write to playspace@sweeby.org. We fix the page and the product data behind it.
